Splendent Standard Poodles is located in the beautiful and natural setting of North Vancouver, British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada.

At Splendent Standard Poodles we are committed to raising home-raised, healthy, happy, well socialized standard poodles with absolutely outstanding temperaments from champion stock that are typical of the breed standard.  They can compete in: conformation, obedience, agility, hunt and/or tracking.  But most importantly, each is to be a loving companion and an important member of your family.

In the winter months we live in a city - so our dogs go to dog parks each and every day to socialize with other dogs and exercise a bit .  Our poodles enjoy meeting new people and playing with their old or new doggie companions.  It is wonderful to see our poodles playing gently with the smallest Chihuahua or prancing with the largest Great Dane or keeping up to speed with the fastest Whippet.  In the summer months we are up at our cottage - where the poodles enjoy swimming every day, running in the open fields or soaking up some sun on the patio.

As you look at our site’s pages, you will notice our poodles swimming in lakes, running along the ocean beaches, hiking in the mountains,  wading through rivers, playing in fields and tunneling in the snow........  They are doing what poodles do best - having fun being dogs and spending time with their humans!  We compete in conformation shows - so for a short time, our dogs do sport the required show trims while they obtain their titles. The titles are important - they demonstrate that we are creating a line of poodles worthy of the breed standard.

We selected and registered Splendent as our kennel name because it describes our foundation bitch perfectly - in both appearance and temperament.
